Transcript

You're looking at the banner from Super Bowl nineteen which of course took place on the campus of Stanford University we are here. In the media center for Super Bowl forty -- -- radio road and it's on network has it. Set here as well as fox sports media members from all over the world congregating for this horrible -- -- -- deceive me be back without him now here at CSN Bay Area dot com once again brought to you. By the size and be. Mean -- Friday. Media availability of that except for the game on Sunday and I mean really there's not much else talk about it and then. This bill that for the game on Sunday I have to say it's probably only -- -- -- its my first time covering them like I'm pretty. -- let. Yeah I think Emery from the sides -- Yet in the no more availability for players the coaches Jim Harbaugh and John Harbaugh I got up on the stage Friday morning to. Talk or not talk about the terror relationship. In GMs wanted no part of that. He didn't wanna talk about is the report his brother in the fact it is such a great family thing other than talking about. His son. Baltimore Ravens John Harbaugh obviously Jay's uncle hired him. And so both guys talked about that -- effort for Jim. He says he hasn't talked to his son this week doesn't wanna put his son in the position -- you know the talking and talking to the head coach for the other team so. Another interesting -- that there really hasn't gotten a lot of play this. Not too much in Jack Karbala. John in -- dad did bring that up during his press conference I mean we knew about it on the back nine you know and we had talked about it but hasn't drive much attention and he's just because -- As you mentioned Jim doesn't want -- get. All this attention how about become a focal point whenever I was trying to do their jobs. He did speak a lot about his -- Jackie say they're competitive spirit comes from -- is probably the most competitive person in the family but you can't. Yeah that's not really. Well I had it where it's -- around yeah you ride yeah I mean -- not I'm not saying that Jackie is -- competitive sponsorships that there's a few funny stories about. Her talking to principal elementary school and telling him. So not take that competitive nature away from my side it's it's what he went drives him so we know she's competitive we know that I've games. We knew that something was going to be different because Jim Harbaugh we characteristically. Friendly with the media something that you don't normally think about him but with me to the states today with the Lombardi trophy. John. In his usual -- it tires the khaki pants that baseball -- that is this and this goes Super Bowl 47 that is -- -- -- -- sweatshirt he always wears it is this this argument is that he does have that look like. It's Friday back in game. Even when reporter asked him about his relationship with his brother it. And how that may have brought him to where they are hitting -- he switched disease -- focus on his players. You from game one in Green Bay at six yarder with David Akers this is how we got here at the players and there was some humor between the Brothers to you that you're absolutely right Jim Harbaugh. Not not up for the media questions they have a pretty short press conference considering everything that he's been through this week press line. I could care. -- -- Whether it's part is exactly what their answer isn't very a lot of times -- -- -- idea here. Now it's perfect that was well played really scripted it well played -- well played but it does come down now to excuse the players that John Jim Harbaugh about hot humid. This is one of 49ers -- favored by three and a half. It's hard to call because it can be gained just out here mention you even more so it on skill and he. If -- super ball he says this Super Bowls at different type of game two. It the flow of the game can be abruptly changed because all the commercials. In a thirty minute. Halftime so it's a different type of game it's obviously different type of week. But I mean when I look at this game. I mean it's hard to have talked about this game without talking about obviously the Brothers but -- Catherine it. You know -- still he's he's he's. Fascinating character so all everybody here -- week as we talked and as I talked a lot of people here on media. Radio row. And in the media center everybody wants to know knock on tempered because you know he's he's tall he he has just such tremendous physical tools. And these people really haven't seen him all that often means played in quite a couple games no more than -- now on national television. But he's such fascinating. Individual and in you know talking to Ron Amadon yesterday. He he loves him you know just the running ability was Steve can admire but also that the throwing I think that's what's. I think that's what surprised everybody and myself included just how he's been able to throw pinpoint passes we knew we had the big arm. But and you and I watched me training camp a lot of times those -- he. He had conversations are OK you up whether Josh Johnson. In training camp was going to be calling -- out for the backup position because Colin didn't look great early. And -- batter in practices that's just practices in the games as quickly apparent. That it was the other way around that we actually have that conversation like Josh was looking really good practices -- not so much. And now you fast forward to where we are now that's like you said you'd never know how things with the. Halladay and the thing I think I remember like him in training camp and the exhibition season. We -- talked about this as a team you know he is the kind of guy it doesn't matter how he looks in practice. He's gonna do something. In the game. And that's why I -- its its hard for me to put all of that on to the shoulders of the guys making like he sentenced him and don't start. But that's why -- think. For the 49ers win this game is -- the defense. We'll do a good job good enough job on. Joseph Flacco. Rate rise. And the Ravens to do a good defensive job on the 49ers they keep they can hold down frame or they can do certain things. But. Hall can't predict needs it's just. A little opportunity a little sliver and he's a player cheese pizza is in in whether it's in the passing game or. You'll maybe do the Ravens to some pressure on him and let's not -- pocket and he turns up field and he -- fifty yards of of green plastic turf in front of them he can make a play in so many different ways he can make a play. On a designed to. Run. He can make a play on is designed to pass. He can make a play on up on a play that breaks down with the pass or ought to play the Bridgestone with a run. That's really tough to do things. Did you at all assistant with the running back right behind -- and which ways and I don't think that's on and -- forget how excited we need to Sweeney to play this game soon so don't eat. Well not -- that yes Jesus meeting everybody collectively we deflated things and and we're gonna have lots of coverage here on CSN Bay Area we have a special -- well on Saturday hourlong show. On NBC in the Bay Area as a check back here on CSN Bay Area dot com for all of the listings for all of us at times he didn't so much coverage here in -- than it's been a lot of fun. Really do it we'll do another one is tomorrow and I want -- for -- to -- I -- all right we'll see you on Saturday right here on CSN Bay Area dot com I -- not deal with.
