And now welcome in our -- insider Casey Pratt and Casey we just heard from -- -- and I think what impressed me the most in talking with Hiro is the fact that he think in this state and back on January 31. How do you think that's helping him make the adjustment to life here in the US. I think it's a big thing for here Nakajima because there's so much change yes to undergo. He's got to figure out how to play behind each different pitcher when he's on defense gestured at forge a relationship -- -- second baseman and he's gonna be turning double plays with so. Getting all the little things out of the way finding a home. Getting to know your teammates getting accustomed to this spring training routines they're gonna go along way to -- ease his mind is he starts his transition to Major League Baseball. And it's no secret that 86 that starts with their pitching last year. When we -- in the spring. There was a lot of questions and he came to this rotation this year there are more answers so how do you think that helps the -- young pitching staff. Knowing where they belong in this rotation in the bullpen -- that gonna help the success on the field. The -- are very different places especially the starting pitchers. You see Tommy Malone and he just got engaged -- really just got married. AJ -- -- were selling shoes at this point last year and now they don't have to worry about that. Heck Bob Melvin didn't even know the greens and it's really work at this point last season. -- the -- Jared Parker now who's changed his diet you can read it on CSN Bay Area dot com he's really working to be strong throughout the season after caring all those innings last year. And get a guy like Brett Anderson is now not having to worry about recovering from Tommy John surgery so there rotations really strong and very differently. Yeah it's a young veteran team now I'm what I noticed. On this report -- last year was that. Energy in the clock out. Last year it was quiet this year there is in new energy they aren't that Andy AL west champions so kind of swagger comes with that and how we see that carry out onto the field from the -- play. There's a lot expected of down near the defending champions and I think the big thing with the -- when we started seeing him play really well last year it's 'cause every illness pushing each other for playing time with the platoons. With all the quality depth they had. This year it's way different in the sense that there's so much more depth at this point everyone not only has a position but then there's another guy that's almost just as good. Pushing him for playing time so all these guys can be really competitive. Melvin is going to be able to play the hot hand play the platoons that's gonna work really well for the Oakland a's that season. All right alert just getting our spring training coverage we'll have more from Arizona.
