Hey you have seen fight coming up on Saturday UFC 157. Dana White the president of the UFC he joins us but more importantly. Rhonda rousing part of the headliner in the main event if she takes time. Weren't mine Liz -- -- exactly see she gets there Rhonda run some of the Ryder. Guys are with you. How how much pressure is there on you as the first female fight. It's the main event what does it mean you it just is there is there a big spotlight on -- right now for this fight. I guess I'm in there really -- and see giant light shining on me. But and -- I was put a lot of pressure on myself and -- that outside stuff I mean. It's bigger venue and there's more people watching but that doesn't really physically impact -- fight and whenever I I kids in my life indefinitely because I just I always think of it like that and I don't really think too much about what it means to everybody else because to be honest I don't like anyone else enough to fight for them a fight for myself when -- -- to win because I want to -- So the pressure is not that much different is always the same thing. Our idea now when a break this down as far as getting women involved in the USC a while back you said at the time note women fighting in the USC no I you've changed your mind. Why is now the right time for women's fights. She changed my mind when I sort of watches some of the flights. And I was very impressed of their fights and then more present. That was when a matter where you -- I've been in the fight business dollars and ninety years old women doing this for fifteen years. And I know real fighter when I'm -- one you know she's. She's mean she's nasty and she likes to finish people and she's very talented for those people who don't know started doing judo when she was six years old. Then. She wanted to -- medal in Beijing at the Olympics got in the mixed martial arts she's had nine fights including amateurs. Total distance of those twice in 19 minutes and 28 seconds. Combined. So. I know not to mention the fact. And we are on primetime that we did who's -- writers had the best you know and every sport there's only a couple of stars. And she is one of those breakthrough -- -- we've had more mainstream media coverage on this fight and any UFC fight we've ever had. I run in the let's use some of that background -- just -- lets you get the bronze in Beijing. But here you are ground breaker this is a very important moment for UFC in its life. -- -- the two compare going to Olympic Games but being a first and another sport. It's. It's hard to really say right now because parity there's a lump us and I got the model and I -- -- you look at the events in retrospect. But there's some still in the middle of it we're doing all media buildup and that's pretty much almost time. And the camp itself -- the hard work is done with the fight itself was still remain in south. I can't really give you an -- Answer because I don't really know yet. After I won -- by then that night -- -- -- Dayna that you viewpoints the fact that she's getting all this attention and UFC is getting all this mainstream media attention. But are there are some old school UFC fans who don't wanna see women fight. I think there's definitely not only USC band of people in general and I aren't into it and guess what that that was me. And an uphill and I cannot and I got turnaround. Here's the reality when a lot of people don't understand like that about her judo background there's tons of girls out there that are that are competing -- and go to the Olympic level. There's tons of Rose -- Russell. Taekwondo and tons of other martial arts and win it. We get open -- the -- none of the whatever it is. Now they can come to the USC I think you're gonna see a lot more talent and women who are professional athletes coming in and -- -- and competing here. Rhonda tell a story of how Dana told you that you are gonna be the first one what were did you guys do this wasn't an arrest trial where you guys -- training session. I want this setting that he told you were the one. From well first he called me which I had. That one went principal's office feeling you know an -- is is don't ever come -- like OK am -- an honor roll off my suspended I don't. And then it out and you -- all I'm -- -- LA because I'm very keep weird you wanna go and well yeah chorus it -- -- -- and -- another guy Mimi and this restaurant or whatever what was the restaurant mr. -- of showers and then well leave together I. So all I don't. Mean are there any any tells me that there's something really special about this restaurant. But Theres so go allows leaving this place team these stop me and asked me woman whatever being in the NC and I said never. And I'm right back here to tell you that you're gonna be in the NC. And I tried to restrained. The fact that I outlined a jump up and do little Mans and then went semi down the Jazz like ha thank you and it's and it's an ankle then when the premier and the finding is that after -- from there was on the -- that I used to barge and that. Allows you not after the Olympics I had no options out. I have heard around the UST fighter and I went out and thank you premier and then he listens. Plays that I used a word in May not my boss is laid on me and I was pretty awesome. That's an awesome start in the soft sided Dana White coming out look at you going back to the place earlier. No way that's good -- Touching moment for -- -- -- welcome you all wanted to what do you know about -- a sudden I'm white I'm gonna ask ace I think even like that even at how big it was -- planned -- -- You know their highlight magic happen -- how you want to run man. Well all we know about run around see what I wanna know why is karma which is the right person to face her in the very first ever. Women's bout in -- because if this doesn't go well this could be a black mark for UF CY is -- karma is the right person. Here's the thing about -- Karros and a lot of people don't know that a lot of people don't know enough about -- again. If you watched prime time the story behind these women and amazing. And you're totally in the fight he cannot watch it but -- I did three -- -- -- was a marine her record is seven and you. And god she is one of the toughest girls out there. And you just thinking about this why is everybody knows the broadest trademark moves the -- thing goes in the ground Liz -- most. It was a nasty ground pounder was she gets -- proposition. Punches and elbows and like she always says standing up she's dangerous and unpredictable flying these trading back is spinning elbows. She's she's she's a very unpredictable. And dangerous fighter when the real record and has and these -- real people as far as if you look at how. -- -- -- how talented. The women's division as she sits right on the top that. And I know coming up on Saturday UFC 157 it's a full great -- that you have -- this is the headline event -- Rosie thanks for joining us -- chronicle live Dana White thanks very much we appreciate your insights.
