New Warriors guard Nick Young is new to the Bay Area after spending the last four seasons in Los Angeles with the Lakers.
Well, Young quickly found a fellow Oakland athlete to show him around town. Naturally, Raiders punter Marquette King is playing host to Oakland for Young.
King posted a video on Instagram Friday night writing, "BayArea don't worry! Ima make sure my boy @swaggyp1 feel at home!"
The Raiders' punter also posted a picture of him playing football with Young.
The Raiders are slated to play in Oakland the next three seasons before moving to Las Vegas.
Ever since reports surfaced on Friday that the Raiders were strongly considering acquiring retired running back Marshawn Lynch, punter Marquette King has been leading the recruiting pitch.
On Sunday morning, the Raiders punter made his latest attempt to luring the Oakland-native.
King tweeted a photo of himself taking a pair of cleats off a telephone line with the caption: "Aye
@MoneyLynch I got your cleats back 4 ya brah..."
On Friday, King sent two messages to Lynch.
News of the Raiders' interest in Lynch was reported by ESPN. The former Cal star is still under Seahawks control through 2018. In order for the Raiders to acquire Lynch, they'd have to work out a trade with Seattle or have the Seahawks release the 30-year-old running back.
Lynch turns 31 in April. He compiled 9,112 rushing yards and 72 touchdowns in 10 NFL seasons. He struggled with injury in his final season, playing just seven games in 2015.
The Raiders are in need of a veteran running back after Latavius Murray signed with Minnesota last week.
Marquette King is in Orlando this week as an alternate for the NFL Pro Bowl and he's having some fun.
The Raiders punter tweeted an impressive video Friday morning in which he drops about a 30-yard punt into a basketball hoop suspended the left upright.
King, 28, punted 81 times this year, averaging 48.6 yards with a long of 72.
