A conversation about a new 18,000 seat arena in Virginia Beach, VAbegins today. Will the Sacramento Kings be involved as previously reported?

A city council meeting is set for 3 p.m. ET Tuesday andsubsequent press conference is to follow in Virginia Beach. Scheduled to attend the meetingand the press conference are high-ranking officials from Comcast-Spectacor and LiveNation, partners in the consortium which are looking for approval to builda new beach-front arena in Virginia Beach.According to a blog today on WAVY TVs website, todaysmeeting with the Virginia Beach city council and consortium leaders is meant tostart a conversation regarding the proposed new facility. Officially, there are no professional teams (NBA or NHL)which have aligned themselves with the arena effort there. Relating to the Kings, an NBA sourcetold CSN Bay Area last week, We have no information from the Kings on thismatter and there has been no application for relocation."Still, reports from Inside Business last week said representatives from the Kings would be in Virginia Beach this week, a report the Kings have denied.
