CSNCalifornia.comFirst-year Denver coach John Fox has a unique perspective on the Raiders and their somewhat mysterious ways.He was the Raiders' defensive coordinator for both their final season in Los Angeles in 1994 and their first season back in Oakland in 1995 before leaving under, well, mysterious circumstances. In a conference call with Bay Area reporters on Wednesday, and Lane Kiffin and Al Michaels -- not presidents of the Al Davis Fan Club -- taking shots at the Raiders owner in recent days,
Asked if Davis was deserving of his genius tag, Michael told TMZ, "Let me ask you a question: If you had a team that lost 11 or more games seven consecutive years, would you say a genius ran the team?"Fox was asked if Davis' legacy has been tarnished of late."That's a tough question," said Fox, who was Carolina's head coach from 2002 through 2010. "I don't believe so. When you're in the Hall of Fame, the organization over time has been a winning organization. In my personal opinion, I don't believe so."Fox then laughed."They had a better record than we did last year," he added.Kiffin ripped Davis to ESPN, essentially saying the staff could not get anything accomplished because Davis slept until 2 p.m.
