James Harden's 3-point shooting vs Warriors prove he ran out of gas again?

In the first half of Game 7, James Harden registered 16 points, four assists, two turnovers and four steals.

He went 3-for-7 on 2-pointers and 2-for-8 from deep.

In the second half, Harden recorded 16 points, two assists, three turnovers and no steals.

He went 7-for-9 on 2-pointers and 0-for-5 from deep.

"In the second half, our pace wasn't there," Harden told reporters. "That third quarter, I was trying to get the guys -- 'Come on, let's go, let's go, it's time' -- but we just didn't have that extra juice that we needed.

"I don't know if it was the big minutes, I don't know what it was."

All five off Houston's starters played at least 37 minutes. Harden played just under 43 minutes.

"I knew how tired Houston was," Steve Kerr said. "The way they play with James running so many screen-and-rolls. That's exhausting and then he's gotta go down to the other end and guard Klay -- and getting switched off on to Kevin or Steph. That's tiring.

"He had such a big burden on his shoulders ... we had to corral them and wear them down."
