Jay-Z daps up Dubs after big Game 5 win over Celtics

Jay-Z is known for his East Coast roots, but he took time to congratulate some West Coast legends after Game 5 of the NBA Finals at Chase Center.

The rapper dapped up Steph Curry after the Warriors beat the Boston Celtics 104-94 on Monday night and was all smiles as his daughter, Blue Ivy Carter, looked on.

Jay-Z used to be part-owner of the Brooklyn Nets from 2003 to 2013 and frequently can be seen courtside at their games. He appeared to be all-in on Golden State on Monday, however, as he and Blue similarly greeted Draymond Green and Jordan Poole on the court after their big win.

It’s hard to tell who was more excited to meet who.

Other notable names in attendance at Chase Center during Game 5 included UFC President Dana White, California Governor Gavin Newsom and San Francisco Mayor London Breed.

The Finals will return to Boston for Game 6 on Thursday at TD Garden, where the Warriors will look to duplicate Monday night’s results and win their fourth NBA title in eight seasons -- no matter who is in the stands.
