OAKLAND -– The Raiders agreed to a one-year lease extension with O.co Coliseum, a pact that keeps them in Oakland for the 2016 season at least.


SAN FRANCISCO –- The Raiders are currently negotiating a short-term lease extension with O.co Coliseum. Sources made that clear on Thursday, and a year is the likely length.


The reality that the Raiders aren’t moving to Los Angeles right now does nothing to provide the A’s any clarity on their own ballpark situation.


When NFL owners gather next week to discuss and possibly vote on whether the Raiders can move to Los Angeles, the A’s will be watching from a distance with curiosity.


Oakland mayor Libby Schaaf said the city is trying to get the A's to buy into the idea of a potential downtown ballpark in Oakland.
