On Monday night, Russell Westbrook took home the regular-season MVP award.
On Tuesday morning, Kevin Durant posted some comments to his YouTube channel:
"In fact, I called out this years MVP years ago so you gotta respect my knowledge for the game lol. Huge congrats to Russell Westbrook on MVP, that boy went out there and was a created player on 2k all year, Fu**in balled out. Gotta respect it!"

Ever since Durant decided to leave Oklahoma City for Golden State, a lot has been made of the relationship between Durant and Westbrook.

The two aren't exactly on speaking terms, yet.

Durant also congratulated James Harden, who finished runner-up to Westbrook.
"Shoutout my boy James Harden. For 5 years now he's taken his game to the next level, he will be an MVP one day, he's an MVP now, he's made so many people proud. I know this first hand, recognize what he has done for the game! "
Westbrook received 69 of the 101 first-place votes, while Harden finished with 22.
Durant, who may have finished in the Top 5 had he not injured his knee on Feb. 28, garnered just two fifth-place votes.
