Draymond Green hates when people call him ‘dirty'

Draymond Green is the Warriors' emotional leader and he isn't afraid to mix it up with the opponent.

The two-time runner up for Defensive Player of the Year was nearly suspended for Game 4 of the Western Conference Finals after his incident with Thunder center Steven Adams.

On Wednesday, Tim Kawakami and Marcus Thompson of the Bay Area News Group asked Draymond the following question:

"What do you feel about people calling you dirty?"

"I hate that. I hate that," Draymond answered. "I don't like people calling me dirty because I know I don't do dirty things. At the end of the day, they're gonna say whatever they want to say, and I'm not gonna lose no sleep over it. But I don't like people to call me dirty because I know I'm not a dirty player."

As Draymond said after Game 3 against the Thunder, he reiterated that he did not kick Adams below the belt on purpose.

But many pundits and fans across the country don't believe him.

"A lot of people look at the Steven Adams thing and say, 'Oh my God, that's so dirty.' But like I said, I swear on everything I didn't do that on purpose," Draymond explained. "I didn't even know I did it ... it is what it is and people are going to always have an opinion and I'm not gonna lose no sleep, but it does bother me."

Draymond Green is one Flagrant-1 away from being suspended a game. A Flagrant-2 would result in a two-game suspension.

He has one more technical foul to give. On the second one, he would be suspended a game.

Does he feel like the league office will be watching his every move?

"Probably so. Definitely a microscope," Draymond said. "They're watching everything I do. But hey, it is what it is."
