Durant vehemently denies Draymond called him right after 2016 Finals

Kevin Durant didn't mince words Sunday.

The Warriors superstar wanted it known that a story published last Thursday wasn't true.

'That's false. 100 percent false," Durant told reporters at the Warriors practice facility in Oakland.

Durant was referring to an ESPN article in which Draymond Green said that he called Durant from the Oracle parking lot right after the Warriors lost Game 7 of the 2016 NBA Finals.

Pressed was asked to clarify that Green didn't call.

'No, he didn't make that call. Not right after the game," Durant said.

When asked if Green was the first Warrior to reach out, Durant wasn't thrilled this issue was being rehashed.

"Why does it matter right now?" Durant asked.

"I've been talking about this all season. I'm tired of it at this point. I'm not mad or anything. I'm just saying, at this point in the Finals, I'm trying to stay locked in. And it's been a whole year now. It's over," Durant said.

Green said he called Warriors GM Bob Myers urging him to sign then-free agent Durant and then he immediately called Durant.

"That was my very next call," Green told ESPN.
