A win by the Warriors (67-7) would establish a single-season record for the franchise, which last season went 67-15. Moreover, the Warriors with a victory would move two full games ahead of the pace set by the 1995-96 Chicago Bulls, whose 72-10 record is the all-time best.
Utah (37-37) has been one of the hotter teams in the league, relying largely on stellar defense to win eight of its last 10 games in its quest to make the playoffs. The Jazz are among five teams fighting for the final four postseason berths within the Western Conference.

Klay Thompson vs. Rodney Hood: There are several intriguing matchups between the teams, but this one has a chance to last awhile. Though Hood’s vast potential is starting to reveal itself, most recently with a 30-point half Monday night against the Lakers, he’ll be forced to expend energy on defense against Thompson, who has been as hot as any player in the league.
