Stephen Curry could probably get by on his talent and hard work, but at times he receives elite coaching from Steve Kerr and his staff.

NBA microphones captured a number of telling moments between Kerr and Curry last year that reveal the dynamic between the two sharpshooting champions, including a moment when Kerr quoted Spurs coach Gregg Popovich.

"Pop, who was like my mentor, would always tell us in these situations: It's supposed to be hard."

"That's your shooting totals. That's your plus-minus. All right? So it's not always tied together. You're going great stuff out there. The tempo is so different when you're out there. Everything you generate for us is so positive. It shows up here, not always there, but it always shows up here. You're doing great. Carry on, my son!"

"If I could feel whatever the hell you are feeling right now just once in my life. For me, if I went like 5-for-6 and made four 3s, that was the best I ever did."

Curry and Kerr are preparing to enter their fourth season together having amassed a regular season record of 207-39 (.841), a playoff record of 47-15 (.758), and two titles in three years.
