OAKLAND – The Warriors were quick to extend a hand to David Lee upon his return to Oracle Arena.

They were relatively slow to hang a defeat on their former teammate and his new team.

Pushing their home record to 34-0 and their overall win streak at Oracle to 52, the Warriors outlasted Lee and the Dallas Mavericks to post a 128-120 victory before a sellout crowd (19,596) Friday night.

Splash Brothers Klay Thompson (game-high 40 points) and Stephen Curry (33) combined for 73 points to power the offense. Draymond Green tossed in 19 points, as the Warriors shot 48.9 percent from the field (46.7 from deep) to offset a 51-40 rebounding deficit.

The Warriors (65-7) drained 21 3-pointers, giving them 938 this season, surpassing the record 933 set last season by Houston.

They needed all of that to put away a depleted Dallas team, playing without Dirk Nowitizki, Deron Williams, Chandler Parsons and Devin Harris. The Mavs rallied late behind Wesley Matthews and Charlie Villanueva to make things interesting.

Lee was making his first trip to Oracle since being traded from the Warriors last summer. He received his championship ring in a pregame ceremony and started at forward, totaling 12 points, nine rebounds and six assists.
