The Utah Jazz are in town to take on the Warriors on Sunday, but former Warriors center Andris Biedrins won't be with the team.

The Jazz signed rookie Erik Murphy on Saturday, who was released by the Bulls on Thursday.

To clear a roster spot, the team requested waivers for Biedrins.

Biedrins was dealt to the Jazz this past offseason along with Richard Jefferson and Brandon Rush in the three-team trade that ultimately brought Andre Iguodala to the Warriors.

In six games with the Jazz this season, Biedrins played just 45 minutes, scored three points and grabbed 17 total rebounds.

The 28-year-old Latvian was was drafted with the 11th overall pick in the 2004 draft and played in 510 games over nine seasons with the Warriors, averaging 6.4 points and 7.1 rebounds per game during his tenure in Oakland.
