It's no secret that the Warriors, who currently sit at 55-5, are gunning for the 1995-96 Chicago Bulls' record of 72 regular-season wins.
But while Golden State would no doubt like to make NBA history, head coach Steve Kerr also hasn't lost sight of the bigger picture for his team.
"Resting, that will take precedence," Kerr said to Marc J. Spears of Yahoo Sports. "We will rest guys if they need it before we will go for any kind of streak or record, that's for sure.

"In the end, it's still the title that matters the most."
Stephen Curry -- who sat out one game last week after rolling his ankle -- echoed his coach's sentiments.
"Obviously, the big picture is always the most important trying to win a championship," Curry said to Spears.

Kerr is already beginning to make rest a priority. Andre Iguodala (hamstring) only played 15 minutes Thursday against the Thunder, and he will likely be held out Sunday versus the Lakers.
“We’ll be very careful with Andre,” Kerr said after practice on Saturday. “He’s questionable, which probably leans more toward doubtful with the back-to-back."
Resting players down the stretch is a strategy Kerr implemented last season, and it paid dividends. After finishing the season with a 67-15 record, the Warriors went 16-5 in the postseason on their way to their first NBA championship in 40 years.
