Krukow: My wife ‘doing cartwheels' watching Curry vs OKC

It seemed like the whole sports world was watching the Warriors battle the Thunder on Saturday night.

That includes Giants broadcaster Mike Krukow and his wife.

"Oh my god, yeah, it was so unbelievable," Krukow said on KNBR 680 on Monday morning. "They (the Warriors) haven't lost a whole lot this year, but you're looking at this game and you're going, "Ehhh, I don't know.' It was one of the rare times that there was nobody in the house, and my wife and I just sat there and watched the whole thing from start to finish. And the way that it ended, oh my god.

"My wife is very animated, and when she locks on to something, she's really a great fan. She was just doing cartwheels in the front room. It was unbelievable. There's not anything this guy (Curry) can't do. He's just absolutely magical and the joy with which he does what he does, it just is so contagious. We're all picking up on it. Oh, it was just so much fun."

Over the final six minutes of the fourth quarter, plus overtime, Curry scored 21 points.

His 38-footer with 0.6 seconds remaining gave the Warriors a 121-118 victory.

In the process of his game-high 46 points, he tied the single-game NBA record for 3-pointers (12), and broke the single-season NBA record for 3s (it was 286) he set last year.

Not bad for a guy who went to the locker room for over five minutes of game action in the third quarter after rolling his left ankle.

"It's also pretty cool to see the respect he gets after every game," Krukow added. "Because you know when Steph Curry is coming to your town, and you're the guy that's guarding him, it's game on. So you're taking the challenge. And one by one, they're going down. And one by one, they're watching him do his thing against them.

"And then after the game is over, you can just see that little look of respect that they have in their eyes when they walk up to Curry. It's awesome, man. It's such a great vibe that we are being privileged to watch. And he just finds new ways to impress."

Over his last four games, Curry is averaging 43.8 points, 7.3 assists and 5.8 rebounds, while shooting 60.8 percent from the field and 61.1 percent from beyond the arc (33-for-54).

And as Krukow asked:

"What's he gonna do next?"
