SANTA CRUZ -- The Orlando Magic signed center Dewayne Dedmon from the Santa Cruz Warriors, the Magic announced on Tuesday. Dedmon’s signing marks the ninth Call-Up in Santa Cruz Warriors history and the sixth of the 2013-14 season.

Dedmon, 24, appeared in 15 games with the Santa Cruz Warriors, averaging 15.2 points and 13.5 rebounds. Dedmon earned Call-Ups to the Philadelphia 76ers on Jan. 14, 2014, and the Golden State Warriors on Nov. 18, 2013, averaging 2.3 points and 3.3 rebounds in 15 NBA games this season.

Dedmon was acquired by the Santa Cruz Warriors on Nov. 1, 2013, via the affiliate rule after spending time with the Golden State Warriors in the preseason. He played his last two collegiate seasons at the University of Southern California, averaging 7.1 points, 6.7 rebounds and 1.67 blocks in 51 games. The 7’0”, 255-pound center finished the 2012-13 season ranked third in the Pac-12 in blocked shots (2.13).
