Zaza Pachulia was fined $15,000 for striking Heat forward Luke Babbitt in the face, the NBA announced on Wednesday.

The incident occured with 6:51 remaining in the fourth quarter of the Warriors' loss in Miami on Monday night.

Pachulia was assessed a flagrant foul, and Babbitt was hit with a technical.

Prior to the Warriors game in Charlotte on Wednesday, head coach Steve Kerr was asked about Pachulia's style of play and how he doesn't back down from anyone.

"We love Zaza and his toughness and his willingness to mix it up. He's been a great addition to the team and I heard today he got fined for whatever happened the other night. He knows they've got an eye on him and he's gotta be a little more careful with stuff like that, but that shouldn't change the way he plays in terms of his level of competition," Kerr said.
