OAKLAND – The Warriors have won their last two games in overtime, and on both occasions there was ample time for Steve Kerr to call timeout and set up a play.
The coach chose not to in each situation, and he is willing to share his reasoning.
“I like the flow of the game,” he said Wednesday. “I like players to make plays. I don’t like to call a timeout and allow the other team to change their lineup – especially if you have Steph (Curry) on the floor. Whatever he’s going to do is going to be better than whatever magical play that I’m going to draw up.”

That last comment was tongue-in-cheek, but winning back-to-back games in OT provides evidence in Kerr’s favor.
Moreover, the Warriors have played five OT games this season and won all five – the most OT wins in any season in franchise history.
Varejao enjoying The Steph Show
Veteran big man Anderson Varejao spent nearly 12 seasons in Cleveland, with LeBron James as a teammate for most of that time.

Great player, James, but now that Varejao is a Warrior, has been exposed to something altogether different in Steph Curry.
“What Steph did in Oklahoma was amazing,” Varejao said, referring to Curry’s 46-point performance last Saturday that included a game-winning 3-pointer from 37 feet.
“I was watching on TV (before). I thought it was incredible just watching from my house. But being on the court and watching him play and playing with him, it’s just amazing what he’s doing this season.”
The Warriors are undefeated (4-0) since Varejao joined them last week, but the 33-year-old Brazilian is taking no bows.
“I feel like I made the right choice in coming here,” he said. “All I want to do is just fit in, help this team the way this team needs me to help. Right now, I don’t know if maybe I’m much help (chuckles), but I’m here.”
He has played 40 minutes over the four games, shooting 27.3 percent (3-of-11), with 10 rebounds, five assists and two steals.
Looney back to Santa Cruz
Rookie forward Kevon Looney was assigned to the D-League Warriors and is scheduled to be in uniform Wednesday night against Bakersfield at Kaiser Permanente Center in Santa Cruz.
Though Looney was active Tuesday against Atlanta, he was the only healthy Warrior who did not play.
Looney told CSNBayArea.com before tipoff that he feels great, was ready to play and hoped to get a chance.
The Warriors have made it apparent that they want Looney to continue to get as much game action as he can handle as he builds up his endurance since recovering from hip surgery last August.
