O'Neal's status will not be determined until he undergoes additional tests on Sunday.
The 18th-year veteran was standing under the Jazz basket when his left leg gave way. He attempted to utilize his right leg to regain his balance but failed, landing on the floor, where he lay for about three minutes before rising and being assisted into the locker room.
Coach Mark Jackson said after the game that if O'Neal should miss time, that his leadership – his voice on the court and in the locker room – would be missed. The coach added that it likely would mean more playing time Marreese Speights and possibly rookie center Ognjen Kuzmic.
