Report: Lakers to retire Kobe's jerseys before game vs Warriors

Circle Dec. 18 on your calendars.

The Lakers will retire Kobe Bryant's jerseys that night before their game against the Warriors, according to multiple reports.

No. 8 and No. 24?

Kobe wore No. 8 from his rookie year (1996-97) through the 2005-06 season.

He rocked No. 24 from the 2006-07 campaign through 2015-16.

Over 67 career games against the Warriors, Kobe Bryant averaged 27.0 points, 5.2 rebounds and 4.7 assists.

In his final NBA game on April 13, 2016, The Black Mamba turned in a legendary performance -- 60 points on 22-for-50 shooting, including 6-for-21 from distance.

That same night, the Warriors won their single-season record 73rd game and Steph Curry made 10 3-pointers (46 points total) to finish with 402 on the season.

The Warriors haven't exactly played well against the Lakers in Los Angeles the last three seasons:

- Dec. 23, 2015 -- Lakers 115, Warriors 105
- March 6, 2016 -- Lakers 112, Warriors 95
- Nov. 4, 2016 -- Lakers 117, Warriors 97

Golden State also plays at Staples Center on Nov. 29.

The Warriors host the Lakers on Dec. 22 and March 14.

Steph Curry's net pay after taxes, escrow, agent fees

In July, Steph Curry signed a 5-year deal worth $201,158,790.

- 2017-18 = $34,682,500
- 2018-19 = $37,457,153
- 2019-20 = $40,231,758
- 2020-21 = 43,006,362
- 2021-22 = $45,780,966

On Tuesday, ESPN's Darren Rovell and Bobby Marks examined Curry's salary for this season.

When you factor in everything, the two-time MVP's net pay is...

$15,263,905.

Here's how Rovell and Marks arrived at that number:

- 2017-18 escrow (10 percent) = -$3,468,255
- Federal taxes = -$11,655,683
- City/state taxes = -$4,105,453
- Agent fees (3 percent) = -$954,597
- 401K (max allowed) = -$18,000
- 2016-17 escrow = +$605,618
- Shortfall = +$177,725

Steph Curry pays a lot of money in taxes.

When it comes to net pay, LeBron James ($16,737,751) is No. 1 and Paul Millsap ($15,563,401) is No. 2.

Former Warriors guard insults Durant, then deletes tweet

Former Warriors guard insults Durant, then deletes tweet

On Tuesday afternoon, Jordan Crawford was on Twitter.

[RELATED: Kevin Durant addresses his deleted tweets: 'Childish, idiotic']

When he saw the following tweet...

... Crawford quote tweeted it by saying:

"A 7ft 12 year old."

Within a matter of seconds, Crawford deleted the tweet.

This is funny, of course, because Durant recently deleted two tweets in which he said some not-so-nice things about the OKC franchise, Thunder players and head coach Billy Donovan.

Crawford appeared in 42 regular season games for the Warriors during the 2013-14 season, averaging 8.4 points per contest.

He scored 41 points in the season finale against the Nuggets.

After two years out of the league, Crawford averaged 14.1 points and 3.0 assists over 19 games with the Pelicans last season.
