In June, Willie Reed declined his player option and became an unrestricted free agent.
The Warriors are among several teams interested in adding the center, according to NBA reporter David Aldridge.
Reed averaged 5.3 points and 4.7 rebounds over 14.5 minutes per game for the Heat last season.

He shot just under 57 percent from the field, but struggled at the free throw line (55.7 percent).
Against the Warriors on Jan. 23, he recorded six points and seven rebounds in less than 11 minutes of action.
In 2015-16, he appeared in 39 games for the Nets.
Before that, he spent several years in the NBA D-League (now the G-League).
Golden State Warriors
Based on reported agreements and expected signings, the Warriors have 13 players under contract for next season.
That means they have two roster spots to fill, and the team is expected to re-sign Zaza Pachulia.
Reed made just over $1 million last year, and his player option woud have paid him just under $1.1 million.
The Warriors can only give him a minimum contract of around $1.47 million.
Reed turned 27 years old in May.
