In an attempt to surround Steve Kerr with experience, the Warriors are reportedly trying to lure Clippers' associate head coach Alvin Gentry away.

The Warriors want to offer Gentry the same position on their staff, according to the Los Angeles Times.

Gentry spent parts of 12 seasons as a head coach, including stints with the Heat, Pistons, Clippers and most-recently with the Suns, where he was hired in 2008-09 by Kerr, who was the president and general manager of the team at the time.
