OAKLAND -- All of a sudden that nice stretch of home games doesnt seem so friendly. The Warriors -- as well as owner Joe Lacob -- had hoped the team could dosome damage on this run in Oakland. So far, the Warriors record during that streak is 5-4, with the streaking New Orleans Hornets coming into town.Last Thursday, Lacob predicted that the Warriors would be 28-27 by theAll-Star break. In order for that to happen at this point, the Warriors(19-25) have to go 9-2.Lacob said he thought if the Warriors could get to .500 in the nextcouple of weeks they could make a playoff push the final two months ofthe season. Lacob wasnt the only one talking postseason.Monta Ellis, David Lee and Stephen Curry all talked of making a push.The Warriors are currently five games behind Portland, which holdsdown the eighth and final playoff spot in the Western Conference.Thats not the only problem, however, for the Warriors.Phoenix, Memphis and Houston all stand between the Warriors and the No. 8 spot.
