Steph Curry wins 2015-16 Magic Johnson Award

OAKLAND – Warriors star Stephen Curry on Tuesday picked up yet another award, this one issued by the national media.

Curry was voted winner of the Magic Johnson Award, which goes to the player who “best combines excellence on the court with cooperation and dignity toward the media and the public.”

Curry finished ahead of four other finalists: Trail Blazers guard Damian Lillard, Knicks forward Carmelo Anthony, Hawks forward Paul Millsap and Curry’s teammate, forward Draymond Green.

The winner was selected by a vote among members of the Professional Basketball Writers Association. The award was created in 2001.

Curry is the first Warriors player to win the award.
