OAKLAND -– The Golden State Warriors announced on Thursday the team’s roster for the 2014 Samsung NBA Summer League in Las Vegas, which will mark the coaching debut of new Warriors Head Coach Steve Kerr, who was named to his post on May 19.

The Warriors, who went undefeated (7-0) en route to capturing the inaugural Summer League Championship in 2013, will try to defend their Summer League crown with a roster featuring five players with NBA experience, four players who spent time with the Warriors’ D-League affiliate in Santa Cruz in 2013-14, and seven undrafted rookie free agents.

Golden State’s Summer League slate begins against the Charlotte Hornets on Friday, July 11 (5:30 p.m. PDT) and is followed by a pair of games that will be broadcast live on NBA TV, contests against the Phoenix Suns on Saturday, July 12 (5:00 p.m. PDT) and against the Los Angeles Lakers on Monday, July 14 (7:00 p.m. PDT).

Following those three preliminary round games, the NBA Summer League once again features a tournament-style schedule that will culminate in the crowning of an NBA Summer League Champion on Monday, July 21. Each team is guaranteed to play at least five games, with the two teams that reach the Championship Game playing as many as eight contests.
