Warriors forward Harrison Barnes made it clear after the team's first practice on Saturday that he wants to compete in the 2013 Slam Dunk Contest.

Barnes, 21, started 81 games as a rookie, averaging 9.2 points, 4.1 rebounds, 1.2 assists and 25.4 minutes. He authored some of the NBA's most memorable dunks of the year, throwing down a monster one-handed jam over the Timberwolves' Nikola Pekovic and a reverse dunk over Anthony Randolph and the Nuggets in Game 2 of their playoff series.

Last year's dunk contest lacked the star power you would expect from an All-Star Weekend event. Terrence Ross defeated Jeremy Evans in the finals.
