OAKLAND – Another preseason game, another Warrior knocked to the sidelines.

Starting center Andrew Bogut sustained a broken nose Thursday night against the Houston Rockets, the Warriors announced early in the third quarter. He left the game with 50.8 seconds remaining the first half and did not return.

Bogut will be further evaluated on Friday, after which his status for the team’s upcoming road trip will be determined.

Bogut was defending the rim on a dunk attempt by Rockets guard K. J. McDaniels. The dunk missed but McDaniels’ forearm clobbered Bogut across the nose, after which he crashed to the floor. He remained down for about a minute before rising and leaving the game.

Bogut’s injury comes two nights after starting forward Harrison Barnes sustained a bone bruise to his right knee after colliding with Denver Nuggets guard Emmanuel Mudiay.
