LOS ANGELES –- Stephen Curry and Andre Iguodala will not be on the court when the Warriors meet the Clippers Tuesday night in a preseason game at Staples Center.
Both players are being given the night off by interim coach Luke Walton, who made it clear Tuesday morning that this was nothing more than a one-game breather for each veteran before the regular season begins next week.

The absence of Curry and Iguodala doesn’t necessarily mean the Warriors are raising the white flag. That’s inconceivable, even in a preseason game, when the Clippers are the opposing team.
The Clippers, however, have been remodeled after their meltdown in the 2015 postseason. Gone are Matt Barnes, Spencer Hawes and Glen “Big Baby” Davis. The new arrivals include Paul Pierce, Lance Stephenson, Wesley Johnson, Josh Smith and Pablo Prigioni.

Draymond Green vs. Blake Griffin -- Green quickly gained a reputation for his ability to defend Griffin, one of the league’s brightest stars. That reputation was cemented in the 2014 playoffs. Griffin has since expanded his game, adding a more reliable outside shot to his highlight-reel dunks.
