Warriors, KNBR sign multi-year contract extension

Warriors radio broadcasts will be staying on KNBR 680 thanksto a multi-year extension announced Wednesday that will keep Warriors games on the station throughthe 2015-16 NBA season.We are really excited to continue on our long-standingpartnership with KNBR, Warriors president and COO Rick Welts said in astatement.KNBR has been the radio home for Warriors basketball for thepast 28 seasons and 36 of the past 37 seasons.KNBR 680 will broadcast all 82 regular-season games withonly a few exceptions for games on KNBR 1050. The station will also broadcastplayoff games and a minimum of four preseason games. The Warriors pre-game showhas also been expanded to 30 minutes. KNBR 680 will continue to air the MarkJackson Show and the Warriors Weekly Radio Show during the NBA season.KNBR is proud to continue our 36-year partnership with theWarriors, Cumulus San Francisco vice-presidentmarket manager Bill Bungerothsaid. And as a sign of our commitment, were increasing our Warriorsprogramming.
