Warriors sign No. 30 pick Ezeli

Festus Ezeli, drafted 30th overall by the Warriors last week, agreed to contract terms Friday, the team announced.

Per team policy, terms of the deal were not released.

The 6-foot-11 center averaged 7.7 points, 4.5 rebounds and 1.7 blocks while shooting .562 from the field in 121 games at Vanderbilt. He is the schools all-time leader in blocked shots (204), breaking a mark previously held by former Chicago Bull Will Perdue (157).

The native of Nigeria had his best season as a junior in 2010-11, averaging 13 points and 6.3 rebounds while setting a single-season school record with 2.6 blocks per contest.

Ezeli, who makes his home in Sacramento, said he played to wanted to be drafted by Warriors At this point, he will battle to be the first big man off bench with Jeremy Tyler and Andris Biedrins.

Ezeli, and all the rookies, are leaving for Vegas Friday to start practicing for the summer league team.

He said recently he believes his offensive game is better than credited.
