The Santa Clara City Council is poised to vote on naming rights for the new 49ers stadium.
Santa Clara city spokesman Dan Beerman told NBC Bay Area the council will vote Thursday whether to give the naming rights to San Francisco-based Levi Strauss and Company.
The 49ers issued a press release Wednesday morning.
“Levi Strauss & Co. (LS&Co.) and the San Francisco 49ers will host a press conference at 11am today at Levi’s Plaza to make a major announcement.”
The release says 49ers CEO Jed York and Levi Strauss and Co. Chip Bergh will be present for today's announcement.
