Neither coach Jim Harbaugh nor general manager Trent Baalke was in attendance Wednesday at the LSU pro day, but a 49ers scout met with the Tigers' top prospect.
Wide receiver Odell Beckham, a potential first-round draft pick, is a possibility for the 49ers with the No. 30 overall pick – if he lasts that long. Beckham (5 foot 11 ¼) ran a time of 4.43 seconds in the 40-yard dash at the NFL Scouting Combine. He reportedly had a strong showing at his pro day, too.
Afterward, Beckham appeared as a guest on SiriusXM NFL Radio and was asked which teams were showing interest in him.
“To be honest with you, I think everybody was here,” Beckham said. “I saw all different colors. I saw the whole rainbow today. I spent time with the 49ers. I had dinner with the Steelers last night. I’m going to Buffalo tomorrow, actually. So pretty much everybody was here and today was a great day.”
Regional scout Bob Morris represented the 49ers at LSU’s pro day.
Last season, Beckham caught 57 passes for 1,117 yards (19.6 average) and eight touchdowns. He also averaged 10.1 yards on 14 punt returns and 26.9 yards on 30 kickoff returns.
