The Detroit Lions on Monday morning announced the signing of former 49ers linebacker Nick Bellore.
Bellore, a six-year NFL veteran, spent the past two seasons with the 49ers after playing his first four years with the New York Jets.
After joining the 49ers in the role as a special-teams player, Bellore was forced into action last season on defense after season-ending injuries to NaVorro Bowman and Ray-Ray Armstrong.

Bellore, who had not started a game in his first five NFL seasons, started 10 games last season. He finished fourth on the team with 82 tackles, according to the 49ers’ coaches film reviews.
Bellore also recorded the only sack and only interception of his career.
