SANTA CLARA – The 49ers might miss holdout right guard Alex Boone and right tackle Anthony Davis, who is getting close to a return after undergoing offseason shoulder surgery.

But the early struggles on the offensive line Sunday against the San Diego Chargers came from the established left side.

Left guard Mike Iupati was worked over by San Diego defensive lineman Corey Liuget, who got past Iupati for a sack-fumble to end the 49ers’ second offensive series. Pro Football Focus graded Iupati and backup Dillon Farrell with the lowest scores among all the 49ers offensive linemen in Sunday's game.

Even All-Pro left tackle Joe Staley surrendered one quarterback hit, as outside linebacker Melvin Ingram disrupted Kaepernick on an incomplete deep pass in the first quarter.

Meanwhile, right guard Joe Looney, who is filling in for Boone, had a positive grade. And right tackle Jonathan Martin graded out with a strong performance. Martin did not surrender a quarterback hurry in his 38 snaps of action.
