A total of 15 quarterbacks were taken in the 2016 NFL Draft, including 11 after the second round.

Despite intrigue around his ability, former Oregon signal-caller Vernon Adams was not one of those players to hear his name called.

Once the undrafted free-agent signings began, Adams started setting up tryouts with teams.

Seattle GM John Schneider and Washington GM Scot McCloughan reportedly arranged workouts with Adams, according to NFL Network's Rand Getlin.

Both the Seahawks and Washington have entrenched starters in Russell Wilson and Kirk Cousins, but could use a backup with developmental upside.

The Oregon playmaker feels he belongs in the National Football League, telling USA TODAY Sports, "I feel like I'm as good as everybody else, or better than everybody else in this draft."
