One week after 49ers CEO Jed York encouraged the team’s assistant coaches to find employment elsewhere, two members of Chip Kelly’s staff have found jobs in the college ranks.

Eric Wolford, the 49ers’ assistant offensive line coach, was named the offensive line coach at the University of South Carolina, head coach Will Muschamp announced on Monday. Wolford previously worked at South Carolina on Steve Spurrier’s staff.

Wolfed worked as an assistant alongside offensive line coach Chris Foerster in 2015. He assisted Pat Flaherty on the 49ers' staff this season.

Last week, Ryan Day, who served as Kelly’s quarterbacks coach in his final season with Philadelphia before coming to the 49ers, was hired as Ohio State’s quarterbacks coach.
