This past week, I was on the sidelines filming a great boys basketball game: The Carlmont Scots and the Panthers of Burlingame. Two of the top teams in the Peninsula League's south division faced off in a head to head battle.

The Scots strung together twelve straight wins, but that came to an end when they fell 38-34 to Menlo-Atherton, and were looking to get back
to their winning ways against Burlingame.
The Panthers came into this 4-0 and the top team in the Peninsula League–South Division. A big reason for their success is the stellar play of senior captain Connor Haupt who is leading his team in scoring with 17 points per game.
I knew that this was going to be a great match up and it did not disappoint. Both teams were playing their hearts out and leaving everything out on the court. It was back
and forth throughout the entire game, but in the fourth the Panthers pulled away and in the end proved to be too much for the Scots winning 41-31.
Burlingame improved to 5-0 and Carlmont fell to 3-2 in league play. Both teams will be back on the hardwood this week going at it with other Peninsula League foes.
