League championships are on the line this week heading into North Coast and Central Coast section playoff's. On the CCS side, the West Catholic league boy's basketball playoff's promise to be a heated battle till the very end. Archbishop Mitty earned the No.1 seed, Serra is No.2 and Sacred Heart Cathedral at No.3. Mitty's only league loss is to Serra, while Serra's only two league losses are Mitty and Sacred Heart Cathedral. Mitty will look to five star recruit Aaron Gordon, Serra will depend on Princeton bound Henry Caruso and Sacred Heart Cathedral will look to all five of their starters to put points up on the board.

Staying in the WCAL but looking at the girl's bracket, Sacred Heart Cathedral is making a run beating defending state champions Mitty in both meetings this season. The Irish are led by Junior Ge'anna Summers-Luaulu and Senior Brianna Smith. Sacred Heart Cathedral's only league loss was to St. Francis of Mountain View by four. The Irish will have their hand's full with the Monarch's who are led by Senior Kelli Hayes.

The Peninsula Athletic League will also be hosting a tournament. In the North the El Camino Colts led by Michael Smith and Elijah White are undefeated in league. The Colts are averaging 72 points a game, 44 of the points coming from Smith and White. El Camino will more than likely face Burlingame who is also undefeated in the Peninsula South. The Panthers leading scorer is Senior Connor Haupt, Haupt is averaging 18 points a game. The girl's tournament will also come down to two teams who have undefeated league records. In the North it's Westmoor and in the South, Woodside. Westmoor is a young squad with only two senior's on the team.

Moving to the North Coast Section, where the Tri-County Finals will feature our No.1 boy's basketball team, Salesian. Salesian has not lost to any Bay Area team this season, and feature a talented squad with Cal bound Jabari Bird and supporting cast Mario Dunn and Jermaine Edmond's Jr. On the girl's side, it will probably come down to rivals St. Mary's and Salesian. St. Mary's and Salesian have each traded win's this season in their two meetings accounting for each of their only league losses.

You can see highlight's from all of these game and many more on Cal-Hi Sports Bay Area, Tuesday's and throughout the week at 6 p.m. on Comcast SportsNet California!
