The Oakland A’s placed outfielder Josh Reddick on the 15-day disabled list retroactive to May 7 with a sprained right wrist and replaced him on the roster with first baseman Daric Barton who has been recalled from Triple-A Sacramento, the club announced today.

Reddick originally injured the wrist after he collided with the wall trying to make a play against the Astros in Houston on April 7.  He was hitting .152 with one HR and 14 RBI in 29 games this season.

To clear a spot on the 40-man roster, the A’s released left-handed pitcher Jordan Norberto.
