Instant analysis:

Josh Donaldson has started every game for the A's. He earns a well-deserved day off. The A's chose to recall Andy Parrino when Scott Sizemore went on the disabled list because he has the ability to play all over the infield, allowing the team to rest key players.

Coco Crisp gets to rest his legs as the DH. The A's are being careful with him because he strained his left groin last week.

There's a considerable amount of movement in the lineup after the A's got shutout out on Saturday. Seth Smith moves up to second in the order and Brandon Moss will hit in the clean-up spot.

One to watch:

Crisp is a career .400 (8 for 20) hitter against Roberto Hernandez. He is one of two A's hitters with a home run against him.

Worth noting:

Josh Reddick is the other hitter in the A's lineup that has a home run against Hernandez. Reddick is 2 for 25 with four walks and 10 strikeouts since missing three games with a sprained right wrist. On Saturday he trimmed his beard and cut his long hair hoping it would change his luck.

Tampa Bay Rays lineup

1. Desmond Jennings (R) CF
2. Ryan Roberts (R) 2B
3. Ben Zobrist (S) RF
4. Evan Longoria (R) 3B
5. Shelley Duncan (R) DH
6. Sean Rodriguez (R) 1B
7. Kelly Johnson (L) LF
8. Jose Molina (R) C
9. Yunel Escobar (R) SS
