49ers announce Rogers signing

The 49ers on Friday announced the official signing of cornerback Carlos Rogers, who agreed to terms on a four-year, 29.3 million contract earlier in the week."We are extremely pleased to re-sign an All-Pro player like Carlos," 49ers general manager Trent Baalke said. "His leadership and performance were integral to our success as a team. We look forward to his continued contributions, both on and off the field."Rogers, a seven-year veteran, was named to the NFC Pro Bowl after tying for the 49ers lead with a career-high six interceptions.
Rogers counts 5.5 million against the 49ers' 2012 cap after signing a contract that includes a 5 million signing bonus, a league source told CSNBayArea.com.Rogers' deal includes a 2012 base salary of 3.9 million, along with annual 100,000 workout bonuses and up to 250,000 yearly in roster bonuses. Rogers' base salaries increase to 5.5 million in 2013, 6.25 million in 2014, and 7.25 million in 2015. The deal contains another 2 million total in possible incentives.Rogers' base salary this year is fully guaranteed, and 1.75 million of his 2013 salary is guaranteed. His entire 5.5 million salary for 2013 is guaranteed if Rogers remains on the roster on April 1, 2013.--The 49ers also announced a one-year contract for veteran running backspecial-teams player Rock Cartwright, who played the past two seasons with the Raiders.
