SAN FRANCISCO -- Wide receiver Chad Hall, whom the 49ers activated from the practice squad on Saturday, is active for Sunday's NFC Championship Game.

The 49ers will have five wide receivers active for the game against the Falcons. After injuries to Mario Manningham and Kyle Williams, the 49ers chose to activate only four wide receivers.

The second-seeded 49ers face the top-seeded Atlanta Falcons at the Georgia Dome on Sunday (noon, PT) in the NFC Championship Game. The winner advances to Super Bowl XLVII in New Orleans on Feb. 3 against the AFC winner, either the Baltimore Ravens or New England Patriots.

Hall could see time on special teams or as a slot receiver when the 49ers go with multi-receiver formations. A.J. Jenkins and Ted Ginn have seen action in recent weeks as the No. 3 receiver behind starters Michael Crabtree and Randy Moss. As expected, Crabtree is active for the game. He made the trip to Atlanta after being questioned by San Francisco police Friday after an allegation of sexual assault surfaced. He was not detained or charged.
