SANTA CLARA -- Linebacker Patrick Willis, center Jonathan Goodwin and receiver Ted Ginn did not participate during the portion of 49ers practice Thursday that was open to the local media.

Willis, who missed three games late in the season with a hamstring strain, does not appear to have any condition that would threaten his status for Sunday's game against the New York Giants in the NFC Championship.Willis was on the field observing practice, and therefore was not required to receive any kind of treatment during that time.
Goodwin (left calf) was also on the practice field, while Ginn (right knee) did not attend practice. Ginn status for Sunday's game appears to be in doubt.
Safety Dashon Goldson, who sat out Wednesday's practice with a right ankle sprain, was back at practice on Thursday. Also, defensive end Ray McDonald (right hamstring) again took part in extra rehab work before joining his teammates for practice.
