ST. LOUIS -- Linebacker Patrick Willis will return to the starting lineup for the 49ers on Sunday against the St. Louis Rams after missing three games with a right hamstring strain. But the 49ers will be without the services of receivers Ted Ginn (ankle) and Kyle Williams (concussion). Both players were among the seven players the 49ers deactivated for Sunday's game.Brett Swain will start in place of Ginn. The 49ers have only three receivers active for the game, as undrafted rookie Joe Hastings was promoted Saturday from the practice squad. If the 49ers need an emergency fourth receiver, rookie special-teamer Colin Jones is a possibility.Tight end Delanie Walker, who sustained a fractured jaw in the 49ers' victory at Seattle last week, is out indefinitely. Justin Peelle will serve as the second tight end.The 49ers have two fullbacks -- starter Bruce Miller and veteran Moran Norris -- active for the game. Tramaine Brock is back as the team's fourth cornerback in place of Shawntae Spencer, who is not active for the game. And Larry Grant, who filled in admirably during Willis' absence, will return to his backup role on defense.
For the Rams, Kellen Clemens will start at quarterback with Sam Bradford and A.J. Feeley both out of action. Tom Brandstater is the Rams' backup quarterback.
