OAKLAND -- Yoenis Cespedes seemed to tweak a leg running out a ground ball he hit to second base in the first inning and he was replaced in left field by Seth Smith in the top of the third.

The A's announced in the fourth inning that Cespedes left the game with tightness in his left hamstring as a precautionary move. He is listed as day-to-day.

Ironically, Cespedes grounded out to New York Yankees second baseman Robinson Cano, who earlier in the day was named a captain of a Home Run Derby team. As a captain, Cano can handpick his team and Cespedes has already announced his desire to participate in the event.
