The Raiders have addressed nothing but the defensive side of the ball through free agency thus far, signing three defensive linemen and three linebackers, and have shown interest again in a cornerback.
According to a report by ESPNDallas.com, the Raiders are interested in Cowboys unrestricted free agent Mike Jenkins, a one-time Pro Bowler and former first-round draft pick.
Jenkins, 28, had his best season in 2009, when he had five of his career eight interceptions. But his playing time went down last season as he appeared in 13 games, starting two. In his career, he has played in 71 games and started 48.
The Raiders have also played host to Cincinnati free agent cornerback Terence Newman, 34, though he is reportedly set to choose between the Bengals and Oakland.
Currently, the Raiders have only four cornerbacks signed -- Phillip Adams, Coye Francies, Chimdi Chekwa and converted running back Taiwan Jones -- while Brandian Ross is an exclusive-rights free agent and Cory Nelms and Akwasi Owusu-Ansah are listed as defensive backs.
