Duvall had eight hits, two home runs and three RBI in 40 plate appearances for the Giants this year.

Perez had four hits, no home runs and no RBI in his last 18 at-bats, and is batting .175 on the season. He started just five games over the last 28 days.

Duvall's last major league start was on Jul. 27, 2014 in a 4-3 loss to the Los Angeles Dodgers at AT&T Park.

He finished 1-for-4 at the plate.

Duvall will start at first base for the Giants on Sunday as they look to avoid the sweep vs. the Royals in Kansas City.
